Why Hire A Wedding Planning Specialist?

August 26, 2007

There are many reasons why you should hire a wedding planner.  Planning a wedding can be extremely overwhelming. With so many options to choose from, such as; themes, colors, photographers, music at the ceremony, DJ or band, caterers, linens, venues, bridal attire, etc., brides are usually “stressed out” when they should be enjoying this time.

In addition to the countless choices a bride has to make,  consider the time it takes to plan even the simpliest of weddings.  Hiring a wedding planner will save the bride and her family considerable time visiting vendors, venues, caterers and florists.  A wedding planner can “narrow the field” and provide the bride with the most appropriate vendors from which to choose.

Another great reason to hire a wedding planner is to manage the day of your wedding itself.  A bride and groom should be able to visit with thier guests and family.  They shouldn’t have to “work” during their reception.  A wedding planner will make sure that the vendors do their jobs well.  He/She will answer any questions the vendors have, make sure their contracts are fulfilled, ensure that the time line is followed, and that all personal items (cake knife, toasting glasses, gifts, etc.) are packed up and given to the assigned person.

Lastly, wedding planners have the experience necessary to anticipate any issues which may arise during the ceremony or reception and plan for the same.  This limits the possibility of anything going astray and helps ensure that your wedding day is everything you and your family have dreamed.
